The Good and the Ugly

So I was justing writing an email to a dear friend and she asked me how China was treating me. I thought what I wrote was real and a very brief recap that actually described how I have felt, so I decided to copy and paste it below and add a few additional comments:


Good 🙂  Today was a good day… found my study place (costa kafei in the mall a 10 minute walk from my new place)… settled into my new apartment and met my new apartment buddy a Beijinger in her late 20’s. Chinese class is kicking my ass….but I have awesome teachers.. overall… REALLY happy…

but then again.. today was a good day….

On bad days I… :

–miss home (meaning family, friends and New York)
–hate the food
–hate the rudeness (guy yesterday coughed in my face and spit right next to my foot…
