JOIN THE EMOTION FAMILY: CALL FOR SUBMISSION

Emotion Press, Nigeria was established in 2011 to project the future ones. Ever since then, we have published Lucius Ndimele, Emma Ohi, Adebayo Sakiru, Oluwafemi Oloidi, Femi Ogundairo, Ufuoma Bakporhe, and of recent Ikechukwu Patsy and Olaide Oladapo under the Omojojolo imprint.
The Omojojolo imprint offers authors, whose works must have been ascertained fit enough to be published by our in-house reader, at a reasonable budget, the best of publishing and publicity.
In the year 2013, Emotion Press launched BookRepublic – http://www.bukrepublik.com – an online literary magazine that has published several articles and interviewed emerging Nigerian writers. A year after, the company launched its literary television programme – Booktv Africa – a unique media platform aimed at making books seem cool to young Africans.

Publish with Us

We are presently considering manuscript submissions from writers of Nigerian descent who must be between the ages of 17 to 42. Five of the works will be published by March/April 2015 under the Omojojolo imprint, and the authors featured on the spotlight segment which will be shown on national TV.
Ten new authors will also be taken through the process of publishing and their books published and marketed on our new electronic bookstore. This new bookstore will be available on BookRepublic.

Mode of Submission

General Requirement
– All works must be attached to the body of the mail

– All works must be paginated and formatted in Calibri 12pt

– The submission query must include the author’s bio and an active mobile phone number. Please kindly include the phone number of another person and his full name, probably the next of kin.

Prose writers

All prose works must include the first three chapters of the work and a one page synposis.

Poets

The poet is expected to submit the first twenty poems of the anthology and a one page analysis of the creative work.

Non Fiction Writers

The first fifty pages and a one page proposal will be needed for this query.
